Biography

Timothy Vaughan Malley is a graduate of Emerson College and Boston College Law School, graduating cum laude. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Malley worked for the Committee for Public Counsel Services Drug Lab Crisis Litigation Unit, where he assisted attorneys as they investigated and sought to remedy the actions of two notorious state chemists, Annie Dookhan and Sonja Farak. At Boston College Law, Mr. Malley distinguished himself in advocacy competitions, winning the Best Brief award and a distinguished oralist commendation at the school’s intramural moot court competition and serving as a member of Boston College’s Jessup International Moot Court team. He has been published on the subject of double jeopardy and its diminution from the time of William Blackstone to the modern era. While studying at Boston College, Mr. Malley served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts as well as the Honorable Juan R. Torruella in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Mr. Malley’s practice is devoted to representing health care providers accused of medical malpractice. Since completing law school, his career has centered on complex civil litigation involving catastrophic injuries and death. He has successfully tried cases, prevailing through jury verdict, in both the Massachusetts Superior Court and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. His practice focused on the representation of professionals both in the courts of New England and before the professional registration Boards of the Commonwealth, having represented clients before the Boards of Registration in Medicine, Nursing, and Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.
